Arsenal Sign Argentinean

We have been waiting for our first signing of the summer with anticipation after Arsene Wenger mentioned we'll be out to spend this summer. There's no doubt Arsenal need to spend this summer after last seasons capitulation.

Well according to reports after Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini stated that Argentinean 23 year old winger, who plays his football at Club Atlético Vélez Sársfield, is already on his way to Arsenal.

"We did have a concrete bid for Alvarez and had him in our grasp back in January," he told Radio Kiss Kiss.

"Unfortunately, we didn't complete the move in time, so we lost him to Arsenal."

"At this moment he has already signed for the Gunners."

Nicknamed "Ricky", the 6 ft 2 inc attacking midfielder/winger has a similar style of football to Kaka and Robert Pires. A video below will show you that. Alvarez would be a good addition with added height and physicality to our team. Reportedly a signing fee for around £11 million (but Arsenal always use undisclosed fee anyway).

As most Arsenal fans say, I'll believe it when it's up on Arsenal.com. They best hurry up then.
